Liverpool turn down Sterling approaches?

Liverpool have reportedly rejected loan bids for Raheem Sterling from three Championship clubs.

The 18-year-old has made 23 appearances for the Red this season, building a reputation as one of the Premier League's brightest young talents.

He also earned his first international cap for England in a 4-0 defeat to Sweden in Novemeber.

Reports last week suggested that he might be allowed to head out on loan in order to gain more first-team experience, but manager Brendan Rodgers later dismissed speculation.

According to The Mirror, Leeds United, Cardiff City and Bolton Wanderers were all recently turned down with approaches for the teenage winger.

Sterling moved to Anfield from Queens Park Rangers in 2010.
